Whew!! This week was pretty crazy, but great! We will be keeping Harrison 3 - 4 days a week until he is able to start pre-school. His breathing is much much better but the doctor told April to hold off sending him to pre-school for about 2 months. So this past week we kept him for 3 days and I have to say that it was a challenge having 2 babies at one time. But by the 3rd day I think it was pretty good. Harrison and Tuff don't really "play" yet but are noticing each other. They like to take each others paci's so that's about as far as playing they do. Of course Harrison is crawling and pulling up and Tuff is just sitting up. So i'm sure that will all change once Tuff starts to crawl. I have been really blessed to have my boogs here to help me with these two rascals.
I did get to feel Ada kick the other night and that was exciting. She was having a party or something because she just kept on and on. Soon we will have a shower to plan and prepare for the arrival of our 3rd grand baby.
So that's what been going on around here. I gotta rest up for another fun, busy week. Hope everyone has a blessed day.
This is looking out our front door and I am loving this small snow we are having here in Tennessee. It has been heavily flurrying (is that a word?) going on day 3 now. I love when we have the "small" snow amounts. The roads aren't to bad and it's just enough snow to say we actually had a real winter. I don't think we have had this many days of below freezing temps in quite a few years now. Now the below freezing temps get a little old real quick. So after this little round of snow I think I am ready for Spring. Ha! I have heard from my cousin, who is in Orlando at Disney World and he says it snowing there....Go figure! I don't think the Floridians know what to do when they see a flurry or two.
Well, this will be my 2nd full day to stay inside so I think I will get out my trusty book and read for a while then take a nap!
So this post is done all in PINK and Oh boy are we gonna be in trouble. Harrison and Tuff are going to have a baby girl cousin named Ada LeeAnn.
BreeAnn and Will went for the ultrasound yesterday and they are having a baby girl! Baby Ada is healthy and growing right on schedule. We are going to have a granddaughter. Wow!! We are excited about having our grandchildren grow up so closely in age. I think they will be pretty close and have a great relationship with each other. They will be making memories as I did with my cousins and as did my kids did with their cousins and then one day they will be able to get together and talk about all the crazy things they did and laugh. It's amazing how memories just keep on being made through family. That makes me really happy. I hope my grandchildren grow up to remember me as a loving, fun MeMe. I always wanted that close bond with my grandparents. My Granny (mother's mother) lived about 4 hours from us and I was pretty close to her even though we didn't live close by. But I always longed for that feeling of being able to hop in the car and go right down the road to cuddle up with my granny anytime I wanted. We didn't see my dad's mother all that much but we lived about 3 hours from her and we just weren't that close to her. I don't remember my dad's dad and I never knew my mother's dad. So I want to make sweet memories with all of my grand babies and hope they will always be able to look back and say I did a good job. Even though I love having these babies in my life I told my kids that it's time for a little break in the baby department!!! HaHa.. So I believe that old saying "be careful what you wish for"!!! because I have been abundantly blessed!! I wouldn't have it any other way!!!
Yes, it's just downright cold here in Tennessee. It has been below freezing during the day now for 4 or 5 days straight. Don't get me wrong, I like a little cold now and then but if it's going to continue for a week and a half it needs to bring on the snow......I like when it snows just not if I have to get out in it. And they are calling for anywhere between 1-4 inches on Thursday and yes, of course, I have to get out in it. But I will look at it as an adventure:)
Not to much going on around here since the holidays are finally over. I did turn 44 on the 1st so now that that's over I can just move forward. I had a great birthday with family and friends and enjoyed all the traditional food and the yummy chocolate cake that my daughter April made.
Our heat almost went out during this cold snap. By almost, I mean it would heat during the day and at night it would get down to 60 degrees. Now I am used to sleeping in the cold due to the fact that when I was growing up at home we never used the heat at night. I would set my alarm for 15 minutes early and get up turn on the heat then get back in bed until the house was warm. It worked well but my kids don't do sleeping in the cold so I was getting a little worried and also my heating unit didn't turn off for 3 days straight. So I called our trusty heating man and he came out assuming it was going to be the heating coils and would cost around $200. Well, he came out and after about 15 minutes comes in to tell me that the insulation on the lid of our unit had fallen and therefore was smothering the coils. It ended up costing $80 and I ended up with a warm house once again. If I would have had my boogs check it in the first place we could have fixed it ourselves. But we will know to check next time.
Our MeMe and PaPa days are getting busier by the day!!!! Harrison has been having issues with his breathing due to this weather we are having and his doctor has recommended that he not go to preschool or church nursery for the next 2 months. So while I am holding down the fort with Tuff this week, Papa is holding down the fort at Brandon and April's so they won't have to get him out in this weather. Then next week we will all be together so Tuff and Harrison will finally be able to really run the show:)
So we finally got my BIL settled in his new home. He is really loving it. We weren't to sure about this group home but now that we have all went to visit and get to know the people in charge of running it we are more settled about it now. It's a big relief to know that Kevin is happy not having to live alone. They definitely keep him and all the other "clients, as they call them" busy. They go somewhere everyday if it's just the library.
So what have Harrison and Tuff been up to these days?
- Harrison is now weighing 18 lbs 7 oz and eating great. and go figure, he loves Mexican food.
- He can high five and give Eskimo kisses
- crawling/pulling up
- says dada for almost everything
- absolutely loves and adores his mama. Daddy too but he just lights up like a Christmas Tree when his mama walks in the room
- still wondering who in the world Tuff is
And what has Tuff been doing?
- He weighs between 18 - 20 lbs, and has been eating baby food. Loves green beans
- just got his first sippy cup
- still doesn't get on all fours and he doesn't like to be on his stomach
- bending/leaning to grab things - sits up but not fully on his own
- and he is also still trying to figure out who Harrison is....
I'm sure it won't take long for them to figure out that they will be a big part of each others life.
Hi I'm Annette and I have been married to my husband Lee, for 25 years. We have 4 daughters, 2 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
I love Jesus. I love to spend time with my family, I love a good cup of coffee, play a fun game of YaYa with my cuz, read a good book, take a good nap, watch the Food Network, HGTV, CMT, and a few reality shows.
